The Selection Process
To be eligible for the Torch Award, an organization must be nominated and cannot have received the award within the past 3 years.
Additionally, the business must have:
- Received at least a B rating from the BBB
- Been headquartered in the Eastern Michigan & the Upper Peninsula area
- Been in business for 3 years or more
After being nominated, the organization must submit a formal entry detailing how it maintains ethical dealings in various areas such as performance management and human resources. It must also be dedicated to interacting with others, including customers, employees, and the community, with integrity.
